Welcome to D&G TAMUK RabbitShire, located in Lakeland, Florida! Learn more about our journey, our commitment to quality, and why we're passionate about breeding exceptional TAMUK Composite rabbits. We're excited to share our story with you. Our journey began with a simple desire: to provide quality rabbit meat for our family, avoiding the chemicals and processing found in commercial meat products. After taking a break from raising NZ and Cali rabbits we returned to rabbit breeding after retirement. We wanted to get TAMUK rabbits for their renowned heat tolerance. We sought the best bloodlines, connecting with Michael Vieira, who had acquired the last of the TAMUK Composites from Texas A&M Kingsville University when they retired the program at the college. A trip to Texas secured six exceptional TAMUKs. After our first litters, we offered a few rabbits for sale to offset feed costs. The overwhelming response led to the birth of D>AMUK RabbitShire. Today, we supply breeders to backyard homesteaders across the Southeast and even the Cayman Islands!

Our customers, primarily homesteaders, are seeking to supplement their food supply with high-quality rabbit meat and/or the knowledge of how to get started. They immediately notice the impressive size of our breeders and appreciate the characteristics that define TAMUKs. Experienced breeders want to add additional lines to their rabbitry.

D&G TAMUK RabbitShire specializes only in pure TAMUK Composite breeders, we do not add other breeds to our rabbitry. Our TAMUKs are direct descendants, and most breeders are (2nd and 3rd generation) of those originally from Texas A&M Kingsville University and we provide a pedigree with each rabbit.
